Bill Of Financial Responsibilities (BOFR) Wins State Legislators’ Straw Poll

For the second time in six months, a straw poll of state legislators at the conclusion of the ALEC* Academy December, 2021 Meeting in San Diego indicated overwhelming support for the Bill of Financial Responsibilities’ package of five fiscal reform Amendments to the U.S. Constitution.

More than 81% of respondents said they would support all of the BOFR’s sweeping reforms of our federal government’s fiscal management practices, besting the total of 71% of those supporting all of the BOFR in a similar straw poll recorded five months earlier at the ALEC* Academy meeting in Salt Lake City.

“This growing level of enthusiasm and support, still without the benefit of national advertising or promotion, is a strong indication that we have the winning formula and the momentum for comprehensive reform that can win the support of the American people” said BOFR Founder John Ramsey. “It demonstrates that our States’ elected officials understand just how serious the fiscal problems in our federal government have become, and how ready they are to step up in an Article V Convention of The States and fix them, once and for all.”
